5.0/10

The hotel rooms need updating and repairs; they can be very warm even in winter. The lighting could be improved, and I found the rooms to be quite dirty with empty bottles under the beds, sweets on the floor, and bedclothes ripped at seams. The walls also had streaks where there was a leak or just partly washed.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms definitely need some attention. They were not up to the standard I expected.
Service

The staff running the place were good-humored, helpful, and very pleasant. They did their best despite the shortcomings of the hotel.
Location
5.0
The location was a bit disappointing, not as inviting as expected. It's not ideal for those traveling to Cork as it's further away than advertised. The surrounding area was full of debris and hadn't been properly cleaned.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was average, with some dishes needing to be returned as they were cold. However, they did cater for vegetarians.
Facilities

The facilities were lacking, and the hotel definitely needs a huge makeover to meet expectations.

The hotel offers a nice place with friendly service and a relaxing atmosphere, but the rooms need some touching up in decor as there were issues like paint peeling and tiles falling off. Despite some cleanliness issues, the staff was professional and went above and beyond. The location is easy to find in a leafy suburb, but there were minor hesitations in assisting with transportation. The dining experience was very nice with great gluten-free options. Overall, a cozy stay with good amenities.

The hotel had a few cleanliness issues in the rooms and needed some decor updates, but overall, it was a pleasant stay despite the lack of soundproofing. The staff was exceptionally friendly and provided great value for money with their simple but excellent fresh food and relaxing atmosphere. The location was convenient for those traveling to Cork, although some litter was present. The dining experience had some cold dishes and limited breakfast options, but the staff were helpful. The facilities were sufficient, and the quiet atmosphere throughout our three-night stay was memorable.
